Pelham homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Pelham, NY, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
Ask to see our Pelham, NY license and insurance certificate and you'll have it in your hand before the estimate even starts.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Documentation on request, no exceptions.
Someone answers, every time, day or night.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
We already know Pelham's weather patterns and permit process.
A roof rarely just fails one day — it usually spends months quietly showing signs that get written off as cosmetic.
Homeowners in Pelham often mention they'd noticed something off months before calling — a stain that seemed to fade, a shingle that looked slightly out of place after a storm.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
A cupped shingle traps moisture instead of shedding it, which speeds up decking rot underneath.
Pinpricks of light in the attic are an early, fixable version of what becomes a leak later.
Stains grow slowly, which is exactly why they get ignored until they spread.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
Not every call needs the same fix, so we scope each Pelham job individually instead of running everything through one generic quote.
These categories aren't marketing labels; they reflect how our crews are actually organized and dispatched across Pelham, NY.
Active leaks get priority dispatch — a temporary cover first, a proper repair as soon as the crew can get materials on-site.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
Flat roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water problems early.
A full tear-off strips the roof to the decking, replaces any damaged boards, and rebuilds with new underlayment and shingles to current code.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
We keep this process the same whether it's a single shingle repair or a full Pelham tear-off, because a predictable process is part of what makes a stressful roof problem manageable.
Call +1-844-212-9199, describe the issue, and dispatch routes it to the nearest available Pelham crew.
You get a plain-language explanation, not just a number.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
Warranty paperwork is handed over the same day the job wraps.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Pelham homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
We give you an honest arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a bid on an honest price than win one that grows later.
Our installers follow manufacturer spec on every underlayment overlap and fastener pattern, not general guesswork.
If the finished work doesn't match what was agreed, we come back and fix it at no charge.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
If a repair solves the problem, that's what we recommend — we don't push a replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
If something unexpected turns up mid-job, like hidden decking damage, we flag it and get your approval before it changes your bill.
None of this is a marketing line — it's how every Pelham job actually gets closed out, warranty paperwork included.
If your address sits just past our standard Pelham radius, dispatch can usually still work something out.
When a storm moves through Pelham, NY and call volume spikes, active leaks get prioritized first while we communicate realistic wait times for everything else.
Homeowners just outside Pelham proper sometimes assume they're too far for a standard visit, but our dispatch radius usually reaches further than people expect.
